Billie Eilish may not appear in Avatar: Fire and Ash, but she still made a special appearance at the film’s world premiere to show support for someone who plays a big role in her creative world — James Cameron.

The Grammy and Oscar-winning singer walked the red carpet on Monday night, December 1, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, where she posed for photos with Cameron and his wife, Suzy Amis Cameron. Billie kept the focus on friendship and collaboration as she smiled alongside the legendary filmmaker at one of the most high-profile premieres of the year.

She was joined at the star-studded event by her brother and longtime creative partner, Finneas O’Connell, who stayed close as they greeted guests and photographers.

While Billie is not connected to the Avatar franchise itself, she is currently working with Cameron on a separate project that has fans buzzing. The two recently co-directed Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D), a concert movie based on Billie’s latest world tour. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on March 20, 2026.

Just last week, Billie gave fans a glimpse into how meaningful the collaboration has been for her. In a heartfelt Instagram post, she wrote that the tour had been one of her favorites ever and that co-directing the film with Cameron felt like a dream come true. She also teased that she cannot wait for everyone to finally see the finished project.

Adding to the excitement of the night, Billie wasn’t the only music star in attendance. Several other celebrities from both the film and music industries were spotted on the carpet, making the premiere a perfect blend of Hollywood and pop culture.

With her 3D concert film on the way and her continued creative partnership with James Cameron, Billie Eilish’s appearance at the Avatar: Fire and Ash premiere felt less like a surprise and more like a celebration of what’s next.
