The journey of The Lincoln Lawyer has not been simple. Back in 2020, CBS reportedly dropped the project during the pandemic before production fully started.
However, A+E Studios continued developing the series and eventually brought it to Netflix, where it became one of the platform’s consistent performers over the years.
The show is based on the novels by Michael Connelly and follows Mickey Haller as he handles complex criminal cases while working from his famous Lincoln vehicle office.
The final season is inspired by Resurrection Walk, the seventh book in Michael Connelly’s series.
The storyline introduces Mickey Haller’s half-sister Emi, played by Cobie Smulders. She asks Haller to help free a woman she believes was wrongly convicted of murder.
As Mickey investigates the case and fights to overturn the conviction, the situation reportedly becomes more dangerous than expected.
Netflix has not yet announced an official release date for Season 5.
Netflix also highlighted several upcoming projects arriving in May 2026.
Among them is Remarkably Bright Creatures starring Sally Field, along with the animated movie Swapped featuring voices from Michael B. Jordan and Juno Temple.
Other titles coming soon include Ladies First, Nemesis, Rafa, and new seasons of A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, Perfect Match, and Worst Ex Ever.
Sacha Baron Cohen and Rosamund Pike star in LADIES FIRST. Premiering May 22.
