Former Bachelor contestant announces engagement after Lagos proposal

Bachelor Nation has another reason to celebrate. Brianna Thorbourne, who appeared on season 27 of The Bachelor, is officially engaged.

The 27-year-old announced the happy news on Instagram on Tuesday, December 30, sharing that her partner, Anthony Harris Jr., proposed during a romantic trip to Lagos.

“Turns out, 2025 saved its best surprise for last, I’ve become left-handed, y'all!!!!” Brianna wrote alongside a video montage capturing the emotional moment.

In the post, Brianna opened up about what made the proposal so special. She revealed that she met Anthony earlier this year at Pepi Sonuga’s wedding in July 2025 and never expected a moment like this to come so quickly — or so beautifully.

“I never imagined a moment could hold this much happiness,” she shared. “Seeing you plan our future with so much intention, and even flying across an entire ocean to propose in Lagos on your first trip outside the USA, means everything to me.”

She added that the engagement feels surreal in the best way possible, describing this new chapter as one filled with love, laughter, adventure, and a sense of home.
