Kim Kardashian has opened up about a serious health scare in the new season of The Kardashians. The reality star revealed that she was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm — a swelling in a blood vessel in the brain — during a recent scan.
In a teaser clip from the season premiere, Kim is seen undergoing a brain scan and can be heard saying, “There’s like a little aneurysm,” adding, “They’re, like, just stress.” The 43-year-old appeared to suggest that stress could have contributed to the condition.
While there’s no strong scientific evidence that stress directly causes brain aneurysms, experts agree that chronic stress can impact the body in many harmful ways. Kim’s sister, Kourtney Kardashian Barker, reacted to the revelation in the clip, responding with a shocked, “Woah.”

The clip doesn’t specify whether Kim is experiencing any symptoms. According to the NHS, most brain aneurysms don’t cause noticeable signs and are often harmless. However, around 1 in 50 people are estimated to have one, based on data from the Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
When an aneurysm grows larger, it can lead to symptoms such as:

Vision changes
Dizziness or imbalance
Numbness or weakness on one side of the face
Difficulty concentrating or speaking
Short-term memory issues
A ruptured aneurysm can be life-threatening and typically presents as a sudden, severe “thunderclap headache.”
