Kim Kardashian Says Five Years of Being Single Helped Her Heal Before Lewis Hamilton

Kim Kardashian says she had no interest in rushing into another relationship after her marriage to Kanye West ended.

In a new interview with The Sunday Times Style, Kardashian opened up about the years she spent single before her relationship with Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton. She said that period gave her time to focus on her children, work and, most importantly, herself.

Speaking to The Sunday Times Style, Kardashian said she spent about five years single and was comfortable with that decision.

She said the time allowed her to concentrate on her children and the projects she wanted to pursue rather than feeling pressure to find someone new.

Kardashian also described the period as a time when she could focus on healing. She said she didn't feel empty or rushed to start dating again.

Her comments offer some context for the period between her divorce from Kanye West and her relationship with Hamilton.

She Wasn't Ready to Open Up Again

Kardashian said she needed time before she could emotionally open herself up to another relationship.

Rather than actively looking for a partner, she chose to work on herself and spend time with her family and career.

On September 19, Kardashian and Hamilton attended the opening night of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles.

They were also seen sharing a kiss during the event. A video shared by E! News showed Kardashian wiping lipstick from Hamilton's lips after the kiss.

Kardashian Previously Dated Pete Davidson

Before her relationship with Hamilton, Kardashian dated comedian Pete Davidson.

The pair were together for around nine months before ending their relationship in August 2022.

Her relationship with Davidson came after her separation from West and before the longer period in which she chose to remain single.
