In the poster, Nayanthara is seen standing outside a grand casino setting, holding a gun. Her expression is calm and confident. The look suggests a character who operates with control and intelligence rather than loud action. It also hints at a darker, high-risk world within the film.

Nayanthara has been one of the most respected names in Indian cinema for over 20 years. She has worked across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada films and has delivered several women-led hits such as Aramm, Kolamaavu Kokila, and Netrikann. She was last seen in Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster Jawan.

The film stars Yash, who became a pan-India star after the massive success of the K.G.F franchise. His role as Rocky Bhai turned him into one of the biggest names in Indian cinema. Before that, Yash had already earned praise for his performances in films like Googly and Mr. and Mrs. Ramachari.

Toxic is directed by Geetu Mohandas, known for her grounded and realistic storytelling. The film is being shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, a rare move for an Indian production. Dubbed versions will also be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and other languages.

The director shared that Nayanthara brought honesty and emotional clarity to the role of Ganga. According to her, the character naturally matched the actor’s personality, making the performance feel real and effortless on screen.

Earlier, the team had introduced Kiara Advani as Nadia and Huma Qureshi as Elizabeth, giving a glimpse into the film’s diverse character lineup.

The technical team includes cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, music composer Ravi Basrur, and international action director J.J. Perry, known for his work on the John Wick series.

Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic – A Fairytale for Grown-Ups is set to release in theatres on March 19, 2026, during a festive holiday weekend.

With its strong cast, international scale, and fresh storytelling approach, Toxic is shaping up to be one of the most awaited films of the coming years.
