Gotham Independent Film Awards 2023: Celebrating Independent Cinema's Standout Talent

·       Best Feature Film was claimed by "Past Lives," a coming-of-age romantic drama directed by Celine Song.

·       A.V. Rockwell won Breakthrough Director for the Teyana Taylor-led drama "A Thousand and One."

·       Outstanding lead performances were recognized, including Lily Gladstone in "The Unknown Country" and Charles Melton in "May December."

·       The Best Screenplay award went to "Anatomy of a Fall" by Justine Triet and Arthur Harari.

·       "Anatomy of a Fall" also won Best International Feature.

·       In the television categories, "Beef" triumphed as the Breakthrough Television Under 40 Minutes, while "A Small Light" won Breakthrough Television Over 40 Minutes.

·       Ali Wong received Outstanding Performance in a New Series for "Beef."
