The 28-year-old star was honored at Variety’s 2025 Power of Women event in Los Angeles, where she spoke about filming her final scenes for Euphoria. “It’s gonna be a really bittersweet moment,” Sydney told Variety’s Angelique Jackson on the red carpet. “I’m kind of terrified for how emotional it’s gonna be. It’s been such a journey — it’s been my entire twenties. They’ve been my family and friends for so long. I’m forever grateful for all of them.”

Beyond Euphoria, Sydney Sweeney has a packed schedule. She will star as real-life boxing champion Christy Martin in the upcoming biopic Christy, which she is also producing. Martin joined her at the Power of Women ceremony. Sweeney is also working on a remake of the 1968 sci-fi classic Barbarella for Sony, originally starring Jane Fonda, who also attended the event. Sweeney mentioned she hoped to “pick Fonda’s brain” for insight into her iconic role.
