Euphoria Finally Explores Alamo Brown’s Past
Euphoria Season 3 Episode 6 finally gave viewers a deeper look into the troubled past of Alamo Brown, played by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.
The episode, titled “Stand Still and See,” focused heavily on flashbacks that revealed how Alamo’s childhood shaped him into one of the show’s most dangerous characters.
The episode introduced young Alamo, played by Ca’Ron Jaden Coleman, and showed his close relationship with his mother, Mama Brown, portrayed by Danielle Deadwyler.

Mama Brown later became involved with Preston, a man played by Kwame Patterson, who suffered severe chemical burns and later received financial compensation from his workplace.
Over time, Preston built a caring relationship with both Mama Brown and young Alamo. However, just as their lives appeared to improve, everything suddenly changed.
During a planned beach vacation, Preston prepared to propose to Mama Brown. But when they returned home, all their belongings had disappeared.
Mama Brown quickly took Alamo away and returned to his father’s home. There, Alamo realized several stolen items from Preston’s house were now inside his father’s place.
The shocking discovery made him understand that his parents had manipulated Preston as part of a long-running scam.

According to TV Insider, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje explained that this childhood betrayal became the reason Alamo struggles to trust women.
The actor said Alamo has a “real aversion to women,” which explains why Zendaya’s character Rue is one of the only women he allows to work for him.
He also explained that Alamo’s tension with Laurie, played by Martha Kelly, comes from jealousy and betrayal after helping her rise in the criminal world.
Adewale said one of the biggest reasons he accepted the role was the chance to explore a villain with emotional depth.
Instead of seeing Alamo as simply evil, the actor viewed him as a man shaped by painful experiences and difficult circumstances.
He explained that the character contains “layers, texture, and nuance,” making him more complex than a typical TV villain.
