Spider-Man: Brand New Day Digital Release Date Set

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day Heads to Digital and Physical Release

Following a massive run on the big screen that crossed the $2 billion mark worldwide, Tom Holland's latest web-slinging adventure is finally making its way off the silver screen. Sony has lined up a busy schedule for the film's home media rollout, starting with digital platforms this week.

Hitting Digital Retailers This Week

Spider-Man: Brand New Day arrives on digital storefronts on October 6, 2026. Viewers can purchase or rent the film digitally through major platforms including Apple TV, Prime Video, Fandango at Home, and Sony Pictures Core.

In the United States, digital purchase options—such as the UHD listing on Prime Video—are priced at $29.99. Buyers opting for the digital purchase will also gain access to extra content, including ten production featurettes alongside a blooper reel titled Outtakes: Goofs, Gaffes and Gags.

Understanding the Digital vs. Streaming Distinction

Audiences looking for a subscription-based release need to keep a close eye on the calendar. The October 6 launch strictly covers premium digital rental and purchase options.

Sony has not yet announced a subscription streaming debut date for platforms like Netflix, meaning the movie will not be available to stream for free as part of an existing monthly plan on launch day. Furthermore, the film is still holding onto select theatrical screens despite its upcoming home release, capping off a remarkably lengthy box office run that began with a massive $360.1 million domestic opening.

Extended Cut Rumors and Physical Media Plans

Looking further ahead, physical media collectors can mark their calendars for December 15, 2026, when the movie hits shelves on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD with the same bonus features included.

Talks of an extended version are also stirring excitement among fans. Reports indicate that Sony is eyeing a theatrical re-release featuring previously cut footage, potentially bringing Rosario Dawson’s fan-favorite character Claire Temple back into the fold after her scenes were left out of the original theatrical cut.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day offers plenty of incentive for collectors and digital buyers eager to revisit the blockbuster at home, even if a subscription streaming date remains under wraps for now.
