Settlement Reached Just Days Before Scheduled Trial

The legal dispute between Lively and Baldoni was expected to go to trial on May 18 in Manhattan federal court. However, both sides confirmed on May 4 that they had reached a settlement.

According to The New York Times, the joint statement acknowledged that the situation was challenging and that Lively’s concerns deserved to be heard.

Background of the Dispute

The issue began in December 2024 when Lively filed a complaint accusing Baldoni of running a smear campaign against her. In response, Baldoni filed a civil lawsuit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds.

A judge later dismissed most of the claims in Lively’s case, leaving only a few remaining. Baldoni himself was not directly named in those remaining claims. Instead, they involved his production company, a PR firm, and the film’s LLC connected to It Ends With Us.
