Jurors Shown Graphic Photos of Cassie Ventura’s Injuries

During Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ongoing federal trial for sex trafficking and racketeering, jurors were shown disturbing images of Cassie Ventura’s injuries. The photos were presented as evidence of repeated assaults Ventura says she suffered during their relationship.

Photos Show Severe Bruising and Facial Injuries

The images displayed Cassie with black eyes, swollen lips, and dark purple bruises on her back and thigh. One particularly shocking photo showed a deep cut above her eyebrow. Ventura says this injury happened when Diddy threw her on a bed, and her head hit the corner.

Some of these pictures were selfies Cassie took right after an alleged assault at a Los Angeles hotel in March 2016. In the photos, she’s seen wearing large sunglasses to hide her injuries. Prosecutors also revealed that the hotel incident was caught on security cameras.

Other photos were taken by Cassie’s mother in 2011 after another reported attack. They show more bruises on Cassie’s lower back and thighs.

Cassie’s Testimony: “Just Trying to Cover It”

Now 41 and eight months pregnant, Cassie took the stand and confirmed that she took the photos herself. She explained how she used makeup, sunglasses, and certain hairstyles to cover up her bruises from the public.

Speaking about the 2016 Uber ride after an attack, Cassie said, “Just a selfie of my fat lip wearing sunglasses … because I had a black eye underneath. Just trying to cover it.”

Despite being hurt, she continued appearing in public with Diddy, often wearing long dresses and oversized sunglasses to hide the marks.

Prosecutors Reveal More Evidence Against Diddy

Along with Cassie’s photos, prosecutors showed other items found in Diddy’s hotel room when he was arrested. These included bottles of baby oil, illegal drugs, and large amounts of cash. Prosecutors say these items are part of a pattern of control and abuse.
