The MTV VMAs 2026 brought together some of the biggest names in music, with artists competing across major categories throughout the night. Several stars took home the iconic Moon Person trophy for their music, videos and creative work.

Taylor Swift was among the biggest winners of the night, taking home Video of the Year for “The Fate of Ophelia” as well as Best Direction for “Opalite.”

Taylor Swift and Madonna Among the Major Winners

Taylor Swift and Madonna were among the notable names recognized during the ceremony. Swift collected awards for Video of the Year and Best Direction, while Madonna won several categories including Artist of the Year, Best Dance, Best Cinematography, Best Choreography, Best Long Form Video and Best Album.

BTS also had a strong night, winning Song of the Year and Best K-Pop, while also taking home the Best Group award.
