Fans of the Jimmy-and-Paul dynamic have plenty to celebrate. Shrinking Season 3 officially premiered today, January 28, 2026, on Apple TV+, bringing new characters, emotional storylines, and a major update about the show’s future.
Just hours before the new season dropped, Apple TV+ confirmed that Shrinking has already been renewed for Season 4, assuring viewers that the therapy sessions — and rule-breaking — are far from over.
Season 3 leans further into the show’s signature mix of warmth, grief, and messy relationships by introducing several high-profile additions to the cast.
Jeff Daniels joins the series in a major guest arc, playing Jimmy’s father.
Michael J. Fox makes a notable return to acting in his first on-screen role since 2020. He appears as Gerry, a Parkinson’s patient who meets Paul at the doctor’s office.
Candice Bergen joins the cast in an undisclosed role.
Sherry Cola, known for Joy Ride, appears in a recurring role.
Isabella Gomez, best known for One Day at a Time, also joins in a recurring capacity.
