Fans of the Jimmy-and-Paul dynamic have plenty to celebrate. Shrinking Season 3 officially premiered today, January 28, 2026, on Apple TV+, bringing new characters, emotional storylines, and a major update about the show’s future.

New Cast Members Joining Season 3

Season 3 leans further into the show’s signature mix of warmth, grief, and messy relationships by introducing several high-profile additions to the cast.

• Jeff Daniels joins the series in a major guest arc, playing Jimmy’s father.

• Michael J. Fox makes a notable return to acting in his first on-screen role since 2020. He appears as Gerry, a Parkinson’s patient who meets Paul at the doctor’s office.

• Candice Bergen joins the cast in an undisclosed role.

• Sherry Cola, known for Joy Ride, appears in a recurring role.

• Isabella Gomez, best known for One Day at a Time, also joins in a recurring capacity.

Returning Cast for Season 3

The core cast remains firmly in place, alongside several familiar recurring characters from previous seasons.
