According to reports from New Jersey’s Morris County Medical Examiner’s Office, Ace Frehley’s death was an accident.
He suffered a serious head injury after falling at his home in Morristown.
This happened just days after he had cancelled his tour due to health issues. On October 26, 2025, the rock world lost one of its most loved legends.
Earlier that month, his team had mentioned he had a “minor fall” in the studio — but it turned out to be much more serious.
Later, his family told USA TODAY that Ace died peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by his loved ones.

Ace wasn’t just a guitarist — he was the heart and soul of KISS.
He started the band in 1973 with Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, and Peter Criss. Together, they changed the face of rock forever.
His powerful guitar solos, unique “Spaceman” look, and stage energy made fans go wild. Albums like Destroyer and Love Gun proved how talented he was.
Even after leaving the band in 1982, Ace continued to shine on his own. His solo albums Frehley’s Comet and Anomaly showed his creative side, and he often reunited with KISS for special tours.
Behind all the fame and spotlight, Ace lived a busy and sometimes tough personal life.
He married Jeanette Trerotola, an Italian-American actress, in 1976 — right when KISS was at its peak. They had a daughter named Monique in 1980.
But constant touring and fame made family life difficult, and the couple eventually separated. Still, Jeanette remained a big part of Ace’s life, especially when it came to raising Monique.

In the years that followed, Ace dated a few women, including Audrey Hamilton and Wendy Moore, who even wrote a book about their time together. He was also engaged twice — first to singer Rachael Gordon in 2019 and later to teacher Lara Cove, until 2024.

Ace was a loving father to his only daughter, Monique. She often joined him at events and loved spending time with him.
In 2024, the father and daughter even got matching tattoos that said “Ace”, showing their strong bond.
Monique followed her dad’s creative path and stepped into the world of music as well.
Even though Ace is gone, his daughter continues to keep his spirit alive through memories, music, and the love they shared.
