Florence Pugh Attends ‘East of Eden’ Premiere in New York

Florence Pugh returned to the red carpet on Tuesday for the New York premiere of her new Netflix limited series “East of Eden.”

The 30-year-old actress attended the premiere at The Plaza Hotel in New York City, where she joined several of her co-stars and members of the creative team.

Pugh stars as Cathy Ames in the new adaptation of John Steinbeck's classic novel. The series also features Christopher Abbott, Mike Faist, Joseph Zada, Tracy Letts and Hoon Lee.

Florence Pugh Leads Netflix’s ‘East of Eden’

The series is a new adaptation of Steinbeck's East of Eden and follows multiple generations of the Trask family.

Pugh's character, Cathy Ames, is at the center of the story as her life becomes connected to brothers Adam Trask and Charles Trask, played by Christopher Abbott and Mike Faist.

Netflix describes the series as a modern interpretation of the classic story, with greater focus on Cathy and her role in the Trask family's history.

The story spans several decades, beginning around the American Civil War and continuing through World War I. It explores family relationships, good and evil, and the choices that shape generations.

‘East of Eden’ Cast at the New York Premiere

Christopher Abbott, Mike Faist, Joseph Zada, Tracy Letts and Hoon Lee joined Pugh at the premiere.

Zoe Kazan, who serves as co-showrunner, writer and executive producer, also attended the event with her husband, actor Paul Dano.

For the premiere, Pugh wore a Vivienne Westwood dress. Faist wore a Dior suit, while Zada appeared in a custom Louis Vuitton look.
