Actor Jonathan Joss, known for voicing John Redcorn in the hit animated series King of the Hill, was tragically shot and killed on June 1, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. He was 59 years old.
Deadly Dispute with Neighbor Turned Violent
According to police, Joss was involved in a heated argument with a neighbor outside his home. The disagreement escalated, and the neighbor, identified as 56-year-old Sigfredo Alvarez Cejam, shot Joss multiple times.

When officers arrived around 7 p.m., they found Joss lying near the road. Despite their best efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Suspect Arrested and Charged with Murder
Sigfredo Alvarez Cejam fled the scene but was quickly captured by authorities.
Jonathan Joss was a respected Native American actor with a long career in film and TV. Besides his iconic role as John Redcorn on King of the Hill (seasons 3–13), he appeared in popular shows like Parks and Recreation, Tulsa King, Ray Donovan, and movies like True Grit and The Magnificent Seven.
