Millie Bobby Brown did not attend the Stranger Things finale viewing party with her costars, as she continues to recover from a recent injury, a source has confirmed.
The 21-year-old actress was absent when the cast gathered at the Paris Theater in New York City on Friday, December 26, to watch the show’s final episode together. According to an insider, Brown was “still home” due to a dislocated shoulder, which she revealed earlier this month.

Although she couldn’t be there in person, Brown reportedly received a private link so she could watch the episode at the same time as her fellow cast members. Earlier in December, she also missed an in-studio appearance on Good Morning America, instead sharing a video message where she explained she had taken a fall and showed her arm supported in a black sling.

Brown’s injury also caused her to skip another Stranger Things event at the Paley Museum in New York City a few days later. At the time, a spokesperson confirmed her absence was related to a “recent injury.”
During a recent interview, her costar Noah Schnapp shared that the cast had planned to watch the final episode together. He described the experience as emotional, admitting that seeing the last episode would truly mark the end of their journey.

Schnapp also revealed that the cast — including Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, and Sadie Sink — had planned to rent out a theater for the special screening.

While the goodbye is difficult for both the cast and fans, Schnapp said there’s also a sense of relief and closure once the story officially ends.
Stranger Things season 5, Volumes 1 and 2 are currently streaming on Netflix, with the highly anticipated finale set to premiere on December 31 at 8 p.m. ET.
