Obi Ndefo, 'Dawson's Creek' Actor, Dies at 51 After Overcoming Tragic Accident

Obi Ndefo, best known for his role as Bodie Wells on Dawson's Creek, has died at the age of 51. 

His sister Nkem Ndefo confirmed the news on social media, expressing her sadness at his passing and saying he is now at peace. Nkem Ndefo has not revealed the cause of death.

 

Obi Ndefo was involved in a tragic hit-and-run accident in 2019 that required the amputation of both his legs.

 

Obi Ndefo was unloading groceries from his car when he was hit by a speeding vehicle, the incident caused him to suffer severe injuries and multiple surgeries.

 

 

 

After the accident, he showed resilience by continuing to work as a yoga instructor and staying active in creative projects.

Obi Ndefo During his career, Ndefo appeared in various television series, including Stargate SG-1, Angel, NYPD Blue, and The West Wing, in addition to his notable role in Dawson's Creek from 1998 to 2002.

Obi Ndefo was also the founder of the nonprofit Arts Alliance for Humanity, which supports arts education.
