Raye has addressed the dating rumors surrounding her and actor Michael B. Jordan during an appearance at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards.

The British singer spoke with Extra on the red carpet and clarified that she and Jordan are friends. The rumors began after the two were spotted together at Six Flags Magic Mountain, where they reportedly enjoyed some roller coaster rides.

When asked about the speculation, Raye kept her response simple, saying, “No, we’re just friends who like roller coasters.”

Raye also confirmed that she and Jordan are working on a creative project together, although she did not reveal details.

When asked about the project during the interview, Raye explained that she was not allowed to talk about it yet because she could get into trouble for revealing information.

The mystery surrounding their collaboration had fueled further speculation about a possible romance, but Raye's comments made clear how she describes their relationship.

Raye Talks About George Michael Tribute

During her MTV VMAs red carpet interview, Raye also spoke about her upcoming tribute to the late George Michael.

She explained that the performance was particularly meaningful because her father is a huge George Michael fan. Raye said she grew up listening to his music and felt honored to be part of the tribute.

She also revealed that she would have loved to perform “Last Christmas”, but the timing of the show did not make it possible.

Raye on Madonna Collaboration

Raye also shared her excitement about seeing Madonna at the VMAs. When asked whether she would like to collaborate with the pop icon, Raye said she would be excited to work with Madonna regardless of the musical direction.

The singer is also celebrating the success of her track “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!”, which has become a major hit and is the first single from her upcoming sophomore album.
