Created by Sam Levinson, Euphoria continues to mix emotional storytelling with highly stylized visuals and symbolic scenes.
The sequence begins after Cassie starts gaining online attention through adult-themed internet content managed by Maddy Perez.
As the fantasy unfolds, Cassie suddenly grows to massive size while wearing a leopard-print outfit inspired by classic monster films. She then walks through a miniature version of Los Angeles, destroying cars, buildings, and streets around her.
One of the most discussed moments shows Cassie confronting a man inside a skyscraper who is watching her online videos. The scene quickly turns destructive as the building’s glass shatters during the encounter.
According to the show’s narration by Rue Bennett, Cassie believes she is finally achieving the attention and power she always wanted.

The production team reportedly spent nearly a year building detailed miniature sets for the sequence.
According to behind-the-scenes comments shared by Sydney Sweeney, the set included scaled buildings, cars, streets, and trees designed to match her giant appearance in the scene.
Sweeney described the “Cassie-Zilla” sequence as one of the coolest experiences of her career.
Sam Levinson also explained that the goal was to balance fantasy with satire and emotional storytelling rather than making the sequence feel completely realistic.

Season 3 takes place five years after the events of Season 2 and shows Cassie living a very different life.
She is now married to Nate Jacobs, played by Jacob Elordi, while Rue Bennett, portrayed by Zendaya, also returns this season.

According to The Independent, Sydney Sweeney previously defended her work on Euphoria and said she was proud of the emotional depth behind Cassie’s character.
