After initially remaining silent, Peter M., a 31-year-old Slovenian nightclub security officer, reportedly confessed to strangling Stefanie during an argument after her return from the party. He admitted to placing her body in a suitcase and driving across the border to dispose of it in a forest.

Even more disturbing—two of his male relatives, believed to be his brother and stepfather, were detained for helping with the cover-up. Border records showed multiple suspicious crossings that same week.
