This time two matches of the Indian Premier League will be played in Guwahati. Both these matches will be the home matches of Rajasthan Royals, which they will play in Guwahati instead of Jaipur.
The 16th season of the Indian Premier League will be special this time for North-East India as well. This is the first time that Guwahati's Barsapara Cricket Stadium (ACA Stadium) will host two matches of this league here. Two home matches of Rajasthan Royals (RR), the champions of the first season of this league, will be held here in April. The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) Stadium is very excited about these matches.
The Rajasthan Royals team will play its first two home matches here. She will take on Punjab Kings (PBKS) here on April 5, while Delhi Capitals (DC) on April 8 in her first home match. ACA secretary Tridib Kanwar told PTI, "We were allotted two matches of Rajasthan Royals in 2020 as well but these matches could not be held due to the outbreak of Kovid-19." It is a pleasure that two matches of Tata IPL will be played in Guwahati.
