The 19th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is to be played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad at Eden Gardens Stadium, Kolkata from 7:30 PM on 14th April. Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad both lost their first matches of the season. It couldn't be called a remarkable performance for either team, but both are back to winning ways.

Kolkata Knight Riders have found incredible heroes in Rinku Singh and Shardul Thakur. It has been three days since Rinku Singh's miracle innings, but the Knight Riders are still on a high. Two consecutive 200-plus scores in two matches (one defended and one chased down) must have boosted his confidence.
First, it was Shardul Thakur's storm of the bat that took Royal Challengers Bangalore by surprise. Bowling all-rounder Shardul Thakur's 29-ball 68 gave KKR their first win of the season (by 81 runs). Then the low-profile Rinku Singh created history in T20 cricket by scoring 31 runs in the last over.
Sunrisers Hyderabad have a number of limited-overs specialist players, but they have failed to make an impact in the first two matches.
Rahul Tripathi then scored an unbeaten 74 off 48 balls to give them their first win of the season as they beat Punjab Kings by 8 wickets. Enthused by this victory, Sunrisers Hyderabad, coached by Brian Lara, will go on to give a tough fight to KKR. Rahul Tripathi could once again play a key role in the middle overs, while Sunrisers will be hoping for good contributions from Brook and Klaasen as well.
