New on Prime Video in October 2026: 5 Movies and Shows to Watch

Prime Video has several new movies and shows arriving in October 2026. The lineup includes the new series “Carrie,” the romantic drama “Love of Your Life,” the third season of “Helluva Boss,” action thriller “Masterplan” and the second season of “The Terminal List.”

More titles and release dates are expected to be announced as October approaches.

‘Carrie’ – October 7

“Carrie” arrives on Prime Video on October 7. The eight-episode series is based on Stephen King's 1974 novel and is being developed by Mike Flanagan.

The story follows Carrie White, played by Summer H. Howell, a sheltered high-school student who has spent much of her life isolated at home with her mother, Margaret, played by Samantha Sloyan.

After her father's sudden death, Carrie begins attending public school and becomes involved in a bullying incident that spreads through her community. She also discovers that she has telekinetic abilities that are becoming increasingly difficult to control.

The series expands on the original story while exploring Carrie's powers and the people around her.

‘Love of Your Life’ – October 14

The romantic drama follows Maya, played by Margaret Qualley, a nurse whose chance meeting with Charlie, played by Gabriel Basso, develops into an unexpected relationship.

Maya eventually builds a life with Charlie, but a sudden tragedy changes everything. Years later, she faces new relationships and difficult choices while trying to understand what comes next in her life.

The film is directed by Oscar-nominated cinematographer Rachel Morrison and also stars Aaron Pierre, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Catherine Keener.

‘Helluva Boss’ Season 3 – October 14

The adult animated comedy “Helluva Boss” returns for its third season on October 14.

Season 3 will have 15 episodes, making it the longest season of the series so far. The first seven episodes will be released on October 14, while the remaining eight episodes are scheduled to arrive in 2027.

The new season follows Blitzo and the I.M.P. crew as they continue taking on assassination jobs across Earth and Hell. Their professional missions are accompanied by changes in their personal lives.

Blitzo and Stolas continue dealing with their complicated relationship, while Moxxie and Millie prepare for a major change. Loona also gets a larger role within I.M.P.

‘Masterplan’ – October 16

“Masterplan” arrives on Prime Video on October 16.

The action thriller follows legendary thief Roger, played by Stanley Tucci, as he plans to steal the Mona Lisa from the Louvre.

Roger recruits Chiara, played by Simona Tabasco, a skilled Italian cybercrime expert, and Jay, played by Victor Belmondo, a French explosives specialist.

The pair discover that they are long-lost siblings and that their mysterious employer is their father. The three must work together to carry out the ambitious robbery.

The film was shot across France and Italy and is Amazon's first major Franco-Italian co-production filmed in English.

‘The Terminal List’ Season 2 – October 21

“The Terminal List” returns for Season 2 on October 21, four years after the first season debuted in 2022.

The new season is based on Jack Carr's second novel, “True Believer,” and once again stars Chris Pratt as James Reece.

After completing his revenge mission, Reece is looking for a new purpose when the CIA approaches him with a deal. He is asked to help stop a terrorist group that has recruited one of his former allies.

The mission takes Reece across the Indian Ocean, Africa, the Middle East and Europe. As the operation develops, he uncovers a larger conspiracy with connections to Moscow, Langley and his own family history.

New Prime Video Releases in October 2026

October brings a mix of drama, animation, action and thriller titles to Prime Video. “Carrie” arrives on October 7, followed by “Love of Your Life” and “Helluva Boss” Season 3 on October 14.

“Masterplan” premieres on October 16, while “The Terminal List” Season 2 arrives on October 21.

Prime Video is expected to announce additional October 2026 releases, so the complete schedule may expand with more movies and shows.
