Fire Breaks Out in Plane's Tail Section
The fire reportedly started in the tail section of the aircraft at around 10:15 PM local time (13:15 GMT). Emergency responders quickly arrived, and the fire was extinguished by 11:31 PM local time. Eyewitnesses shared dramatic video footage of the incident, showing the aircraft engulfed in flames as firefighters worked to bring the situation under control.

No Lives Lost, But Concerns Raised About Aviation Safety
Fortunately, there were no fatalities in this incident, which occurred after a tragic aviation disaster in December 2024. A Jeju Air flight had crashed at Muan International Airport, claiming 179 lives out of the 181 on board. The recent fire has raised concerns about aviation safety in South Korea.
