Cardi B responds to online criticism about her relationship

Cardi B has finally spoken out after facing days of intense online criticism about her relationship with NFL star Stefon Diggs. The rapper addressed what she called “mean” behavior from fans in a candid video shared on X on Monday, Dec. 29.

The backlash began after Cardi appeared to spend Christmas separately from Diggs. Fans quickly started speculating and “dragging” her romance online, prompting the 33-year-old artist to respond directly.

“Y’all need to calm down,” Cardi said in the video, adding that the criticism had been nonstop for several days. She told fans they were being unnecessarily harsh and reminded them that some situations simply can’t be changed. Cardi emphasized that the only option now is to move forward.

The rapper also made it clear that she needs understanding, not judgment, from her supporters. She explained that life decisions can’t be reversed and questioned what critics expect her to do at this point.

Cardi B and Diggs welcomed their first child together, a baby boy, in November. At the time, her representative confirmed the news to pagesix, stating that Cardi was healthy and happy following the birth.

In addition to her newborn son, Cardi is already a mother of three children — Kulture, Wave, and Blossom — whom she shares with her estranged husband, fellow rapper Offset. Diggs is also a father to multiple children from previous relationships.

During the Christmas holiday, Diggs posted photos featuring several children on his Instagram Stories and reshared one of Cardi’s posts showing her with their baby, according to Page Six.

Cardi wrapped up her message by admitting that she’s feeling stressed as January approaches, with major work commitments ahead. She asked fans to support her instead of tearing her down, saying she wants them to enjoy her upcoming tour with positive energy.

“I need my support system to love me,” Cardi said, urging fans to stop the negativity and stand by her as she moves forward.
