A special CBI court on Friday gave its verdict in the suicide case of the late Bollywood actress-model Jiah Khan. Actor Sooraj Pancholi has been acquitted by the court in Jiah Khan's suicide case. Bollywood actor Sooraj Pancholi was the main accused in the Jiah Khan suicide case. Jiah Khan committed suicide at the midnight of June 3, 2013 at the age of just 25 in her flat in Juhu. There was an uproar in the film industry after Jia Khan's death, after her death, a case of abetment to suicide was registered against alleged boyfriend and actor Surat Pancholi. Before the court's decision, 'Justice for Jia Khan' was trending on social media. After 10 years of Jiah Khan's death, the CBI court has given its verdict.
In her note, Jiah allegedly talked about intimate relations with Sooraj and many such things. Jiah Khan's mother Rabia had told the court that her daughter's death was a murder and not a suicide. After this, Jiah Khan's mother Rabia appealed to the court for a CBI inquiry. In 2014, the court accepted Rabia's petition, in which the CBI was demanded to investigate the matter. Kosuraj Pancholi's house was raided by the CBI in May 2015 and a month later he was also called for questioning. Jiah Khan suicide case was handed over to a special CBI court in the year 2021.
