Netflix has officially announced One Piece Season 3, and the streaming giant surprised fans by revealing that Cobra Kai and Blue Beetle actor Xolo Maridueña will join the new season’s cast.
The live-action adaptation of One Piece has gained massive global attention since its first season. It follows Monkey D. Luffy and his pirate crew on their adventurous quest to find the legendary treasure known as “One Piece.”
Netflix recently confirmed that Xolo Maridueña will portray the beloved character Portgas D. Ace in the upcoming season. For fans of the original manga and anime, Ace is a significant figure — Luffy’s sworn brother, a pirate captain, and a fighter with fire-based powers.
Xolo, who previously wowed audiences with his roles in Cobra Kai and Blue Beetle, is expected to bring Ace’s charisma and strength to life.
As fans eagerly await One Piece Season 2 (set for early 2026), Netflix dropped another bombshell — Season 3 is already in the works!
Production will kick off later this year in Cape Town, South Africa, with Ian Stokes joining Joe Tracz as co-showrunner. The returning cast includes Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero, Taz Skylar, and Xolo Maridueña.
