Chiefs triumph with 32-29 win in AFC Championship
The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills 32-29 in the AFC Championship Game, earning their place in Super Bowl LIX. Held on January 26, 2025, at Arrowhead Stadium, the game showcased an incredible comeback by the Chiefs in the fourth quarter.
Former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to congratulate the Chiefs, highlighting their strong performance and praising their fans. He called the team "GREAT" and added a political nod by mentioning their support for him during his presidency.
Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs. What a GREAT Team, Coach, Quarterback, and virtually everything else, including those fantastic FANS, that voted for me (MAGA!) in record numbers. Likewise, congratulations to the Buffalo Bills on a tremendous season. They will do a lot…

The Chiefs were trailing 22-21 at the end of the third quarter but scored 11 points in the final quarter. They regained the lead with a touchdown and managed to hold off the Bills in a nail-biting finish.
Trump’s congratulatory post came months after Patrick Mahome’s wife, Brittany, faced criticism for liking Trump-related social media posts. Despite the political context, Mahomes himself has stayed neutral and refrained from endorsing any candidate.
