Singer and actress Halle Bailey, known for her Grammy nomination, has secured a temporary restraining order against her former partner, rapper DDG (Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.). According to her claims, she faced physical, emotional, verbal, and financial mistreatment after their separation. The legal order also includes protection for their 17-month-old son, Halo, citing the severity of the incidents.
Bailey stated that in January 2025, during a custody exchange, DDG became aggressive. He allegedly pulled her hair and slammed her face against a steering wheel, which caused a chipped tooth and bruises. She submitted photos of her injuries to the court as evidence.

In March 2025, Bailey claims DDG entered her home without permission and sent her a threatening photo of her bed. He also reportedly smashed her home security camera, took her phone, and slammed a car door on her while she was holding their son. She filed a police report following this confrontation.
Bailey accuses DDG of using his online followers to intimidate and harass her. According to court filings, his social media posts and public comments have created a toxic environment for her as a mother.
Stop protecting abusers. Expose them. She needs to be like Cassie and release the footage. These abusers walk around pretending to be successful, keeping up a fake image while trying to ruin yours and paint you as the crazy one. He’s done enough damage.#HalleBailey #DDG pic.twitter.com/cDhRypQR17

The Los Angeles Superior Court has ordered DDG to stay at least 100 yards away from Halle and their son, including from their home, the child's school, and Bailey’s vehicle. The court has set a full hearing date for June 6, 2025, to review the case in detail.
