After 15 years off the air, the popular animated series King of the Hill is coming back. The revival will launch on Hulu on August 4, 2025, as the show's 14th season. Fans can look forward to 10 brand-new episodes continuing the story of the Hill family.
The revival picks up 14 years after the original series finale. Hank and Peggy Hill return home to Arlen, Texas, after working in Saudi Arabia for several years in the propane business. They come back ready for retirement—only to find their hometown has changed dramatically.

Their son, Bobby Hill, is now an adult living in Dallas. He's chasing a career in the culinary world and reconnecting with old school friends like Connie, Joseph, and Chane.
Meanwhile, Hank and Peggy catch up with their longtime friends Dale, Boomhauer, and Bill as they adjust to modern-day Arlen.

Fans will be thrilled to know that many of the original voice actors are returning, including:
Mike Judge as Hank Hill
Kathy Najimy as Peggy Hill
Pamela Adlon as Bobby Hill
Stephen Root as Bill Dauterive
Lauren Tom as Minh
Toby Huss as Kahn
The late Johnny Hardwick, who originally voiced Dale Gribble, completed work on a few episodes before his passing in 2023.
Produced by 20th Television Animation, the revival is led by original creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, along with new showrunner Saladin Patterson. Hulu has already released a first-look image and updated opening credits.

The updated opening keeps the classic alleyway scene and theme song but adds a modern twist. A time-lapse shows the Hill family aging, moving out, and eventually returning—symbolizing the real passage of time since the series ended.
