The episode began with a surprise text message—America had voted for their favorite islanders. Hannah, Amaya, and Iris got the fewest votes; same for Jeremiah, Austin, and Pepe on the boys' side.
However, rather than going solely by the public vote, the final decision was left to the remaining islanders.
For the women’s decision, Olandria, Cierra, Huda, and Chelley discussed who to eliminate. Chelley spoke for the group and praised all the girls, calling them “sisters.” Still, she announced that the girls had voted to send Hannah home—bringing her to tears.

On the men’s side, Nic, Taylor, and Ace chose between Jeremiah, Austin, and Pepe. Ultimately, Jeremiah was eliminated, a decision that stunned fans and stirred online backlash.
Fans online questioned whether friendships, alliances, or even jealousy influenced the final votes. Several speculated that Jeremiah's exit had more to do with personal dynamics than gameplay.
“Jeremiah was sent home due to Ace's jealousy,” one fan wrote on Reddit.

Viewers are now calling on Love Island USA to clarify its voting process and avoid giving islanders final control when public votes are involved. Many say this defeats the purpose of fan interaction.
austin & amaya should’ve gone home. only reason jeremiah went home is cause it’s clear the boys don’t fw him and i can’t even find an explanation as to why the girls sent hannah home. this was the stupidest dumping ever #LoveIslandUSA pic.twitter.com/DTcUPNt4UH
