Prime Video’s breakout German-language drama, Maxton Hall, is officially returning for Season 2 on November 7, 2025. The highly anticipated series, adapted from Mona Kasten’s bestselling Save Me trilogy, captured audiences worldwide with its mix of elite-school romance and emotional depth.
After the success of its May 2024 debut, Maxton Hall was renewed for a second season just two weeks later — and now, fans are eager to return to the world of Ruby Bell and James Beaufort.

What Is Maxton Hall Season 2 About?
According to Prime Video’s official synopsis, Season 2 continues directly from the emotional Season 1 finale.
“After their passionate night together in Oxford and her greatest life goal within reach, everything seems to be going perfectly for Ruby. But a stroke of fate in James' family changes everything, and James himself brings her back from cloud nine to a harsh reality.”
Ruby now wishes for her old, quieter life at Maxton Hall — but she can’t forget James, who is determined to win her back.
Actress Harriet Herbig-Matten (Ruby Bell) teased in an interview that fans can expect “a lot of drama and ups and downs.” She added that while James is changing, Ruby stays true to herself:
“[Ruby] is doing her thing and she’s not changing for him. She’s setting boundaries, and that’s really important.”
Herbig-Matten also revealed that Season 2 will highlight female friendships, focusing more on characters like Lydia, Lin, and Ember.

When Will Maxton Hall Season 2 Be Released?

Like the first season, the new chapter will feature six episodes in total.
Amazon confirmed earlier in March 2025 that the delay was due to efforts to ensure a “first-class production” and “comprehensive language versions” for global audiences — promising fans that “the wait will be worth it.”

Yes! Prime Video released the official trailer on October 2, which has already crossed 1 million views on YouTube.
The trailer teases heightened tension, emotional turmoil, and the challenges Ruby and James face amid school scandals and grief.
Actor Damian Hardung told PEOPLE that Season 2 is “bleaker, more honest, and more grown-up.”
“We kind of knew it was going to be more emotional and real this time. James is grieving his mother’s loss, and it’s about how he processes that pain.”
