Mysterious Metal Sphere Discovered in Colombia Sparks UFO Debate

UFO metal sphere

A strange metallic sphere that many are calling a possible UFO is now under scientific investigation in Colombia. The shiny orb was spotted flying through the skies over Buga on March 2, 2025, before landing and being recovered by stunned locals.

The discovery has quickly caught global attention—not just because of how it looked, but because no one seems to know where it came from or what it’s made of.

Unusual Features That Baffle Scientists

One of the first things that stood out to researchers is the sphere’s seamless construction. According to Dr. Jose Luis Velazquez, a radiologist examining the object, the sphere has no visible welds, bolts, or joints—something highly unusual for man-made items.

X-rays revealed that the sphere has three layers of metal. Inside, researchers found a central core surrounded by either nine or eighteen tiny “microspheres,” almost like a miniature solar system. Some believe the core may be a chip or a type of transmitter, but nothing has been confirmed.

The sphere weighs about 4.5 pounds and was reportedly very cold to the touch—even in the warm Colombian climate.

Mysterious Symbols and a Philosophical Message?

Things get even stranger when you look at the surface. The shell is etched with markings that resemble ancient scripts—some similar to runes, Ogham, or Mesopotamian writing. Using AI, a few researchers believe these symbols convey a message about energy, unity, and human consciousness. While that claim is hard to verify, it’s adding to the mystery.

Unusual Flight Patterns

Witnesses described seeing the sphere flying in a zig-zag motion—not in a straight line like a plane or meteor. This odd flight behavior has led some to believe it wasn’t falling from the sky, but navigating through it.

Are We Looking at Alien Technology?

Some scientists, including Dr. Velazquez, say it’s not out of the question that the object could be of extraterrestrial origin. Its complex design and lack of known technology features certainly open that possibility.

But not everyone agrees. Dr. Julia Mossbridge from the University of San Diego says we should be careful before jumping to conclusions. “It could be an art project, or even a high-level prank,” she said. “We need more data.”
