Netflix to Stream All 104 World Cup Matches
The agreement gives Netflix coverage of every match at the 2030 tournament in Spain and Andorra. The platform has confirmed that one game on each matchday will be available to watch free in Spain.
The arrangement also preserves free-to-air coverage of Spain's matches and the final, giving viewers options beyond a paid Netflix subscription.
Netflix just got a front-row seat to the 2030 World Cup. The streamer secured exclusive rights in Spain and Andorra to all 104 matches, the company announced Tuesday. One match per matchday will be free in Spain, and a free-to-air broadcaster will carry every Spain match, both semifinals and the final. Financial terms weren’t disclosed. It’s Netflix’s first broadcast of a major men’s international tournament in Spain. The streamer also holds the rights to the 2027 and 2031 Women’s World Cups. This deal covers Spain and Andorra only. US rights for 2030 are still up for grabs, with executives reportedly budgeting $1.5 billion to $2 billion, per CNBC.

Spain will co-host the tournament with Portugal and Morocco. Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay will also stage matches as part of celebrations marking 100 years since the first men's World Cup in 1930.
The 2030 edition will feature 104 matches, all of which Netflix says it will show live under the Spanish broadcasting agreement.
Netflix Expands Its Live Sports Coverage
Netflix has been expanding its live sports programming, including WWE events, NFL games and boxing. The company is also scheduled to broadcast the all-British heavyweight boxing contest between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua in December.
The platform has also secured the rights to the 2027 and 2031 FIFA Women's World Cups, which are scheduled to take place in the United States and Canada.
The 2030 men's tournament marks another major step in Netflix's move into live sports broadcasting.
