Olivia Rodrigo Breaks Her Own Billboard Record With New Album

Olivia Rodrigo has broken another personal record on the Billboard charts.

Her latest album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,” is spending its 13th week at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Alternative Albums chart.

That moves the album past Rodrigo’s previous record with “Guts.” Her 2023 album spent 12 weeks at No. 1 on the same chart.

The latest album is also No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart this week. It has spent 13 weeks at the top of that ranking.

“Guts” previously held Rodrigo’s record there, with nine weeks at No. 1.

Rodrigo’s music has found an audience across pop, alternative and rock. Her debut album, “Sour,” was largely associated with pop when it was released, while “Guts” later made a strong showing on Billboard’s rock and alternative charts.

Her third album has followed a similar path. Its songs have appeared on both pop and rock-oriented rankings, while the album itself has remained near the top of Billboard’s genre charts.

Rodrigo has three releases that have appeared on the Top Alternative Albums and Top Rock & Alternative Albums charts. Two of them have reached No. 1.

Her live release “Live from Glastonbury (A BBC Recording)” also charted in both categories. It peaked at No. 4 on Top Alternative Albums and No. 7 on Top Rock & Alternative Albums after its December 2025 debut.

With 13 weeks at No. 1, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love” has moved ahead of “Guts” and given Rodrigo a new personal record on both Billboard charts.
