Squid Game Season 2 Streams After a Long Wait
The much-awaited Squid Game Season 2 is finally streaming on Netflix, three years after its debut season. Fans were thrilled to watch the second season after such a long gap. Earlier this year, the creators announced that they wouldn’t keep fans waiting as long for Squid Game Season 3. However, a twist has emerged from Netflix's recent post, raising questions about its release.
Netflix’s Most-Watched Series Creates Buzz Again
The first season of Squid Game debuted in 2021, followed by the second season, which was released in late 2024. Fans immediately fell in love with the new season, but many are now speculating about when Season 3 will arrive. Netflix had initially teased a quicker release for the next installment, but things might not go as planned.
Netflix Announced Squid Game Season 3
On January 1, 2025, as the world exchanged New Year’s greetings, Netflix surprised fans by announcing Squid Game Season 3 on Instagram. The post stated that the new season would hit the OTT platform within the year. The caption even included a cheerful note: “Now, isn’t this a Happy New Year?”
However, it seems the announcement might have been premature. Shortly after posting, Netflix shared a teaser video featuring the iconic robot duo, Young-hee and Cheol-su, which further excited fans. But later, the video was mysteriously deleted from Netflix Korea's YouTube channel.
Was the Announcement a Mistake?
After the video was removed, fans speculated that Netflix might have made an error. Some even believe this could be a deliberate move by the creators to generate more buzz around the series. While Netflix remains silent on the matter, the suspense surrounding Squid Game Season 3 continues to grow.
