Taylor Swift Wins Video of the Year at MTV VMAs 2026, Dedicates Award to Dolly Parton

Taylor Swift had a big night at the MTV VMAs 2026, taking home the coveted Video of the Year award. The singer also received the inaugural Artist Director Honors award during the ceremony.

Swift won Video of the Year for “Fate of Ophelia,” beating nominees including Ariana Grande’s “Hate That I Made You Love Me,” Bruno Mars’ “I Just Might,” GENERATION’s “Storm” featuring Yung Lean, Madonna’s “Confessions II - The Film” and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Tears.”

After her name was announced, Swift walked onto the stage and hugged host Snoop Dogg before accepting the Moon Person trophy.

During her speech, Swift thanked her fans for voting for the video and supporting her throughout her career. She also spoke about her development as a director and the experience of working on the music video.
