The series tells the story of Cadence Sinclair Eastman (played by Emily Alyn Lind) and her group of close friends, known as the Liars. Every summer, they gather on her family’s private island in New England, living what seems to be a dreamy, luxurious life.
But that dream quickly turns dark. After a mysterious accident, Cadence is left with memory loss and a sense that something awful happened — but no clue what or who was involved.
As she returns to Beechwood Island to uncover the truth, secrets begin to unravel. “Not every fable ends happily. The castle crumbles,” Cadence says in a chilling voiceover.
This intense new series comes from the creative team behind hits like The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, and Legacies. With their talent for creating suspenseful teen dramas, fans are already impressed by the show’s tone, visuals, and music choices.
Gracie Abrams’ Song Sets the Mood
Fans were thrilled to hear Gracie Abrams' track “Difficult” used in the trailer. “This combo is everything!” one person posted. Others praised the mood and visuals, saying the adaptation captures the “vibes and aesthetic” of the book perfectly.
One fan boldly wrote, “I hate to say this — but it actually looks better than the book.”
