The Boyfriend Season 2 on Netflix: What to Expect

Netflix has officially revealed most of the cast for The Boyfriend Season 2, and fans are already buzzing. This year, the dating reality show returns with a more diverse group of housemates, with ages ranging from 20 to 40 and even international contestants from Thailand and Peru. As usual, two cast members are being kept secret and will be revealed later in the season.

The new season also changes things up by moving from a sunny beach house to a winter setting in Hokkaido, Japan, giving the show a completely different mood and vibe.

The Boyfriend Season 2 Cast

Here are the eight confirmed housemates who will appear in the first six episodes:

Ryuki (20) is a university student from Osaka. As the youngest in the house, he brings a gentle, younger-brother energy and is trying to move on from a difficult past.

Bomi (23), a university student from Tokyo, is looking for his very first boyfriend and hopes to find a simple, innocent kind of love.

Huwei (26) comes from Thailand and is a graduate student. He is multilingual, athletic, and makes history as the first Thai contestant on the show.

Jobu (26), a marketer from Osaka, is known for his expressive personality and is usually the one who keeps the atmosphere lively.

Hiroya (29) is an art director from Hokkaido. Although he has avoided relationships in the past, he is now ready to open his heart.

Izaya (32) works in IT sales in Tokyo. He is sincere and serious, and he is hoping to find someone he can build a future with.

William (34), an IT project manager originally from Peru, dreams of marriage but is still healing from a past heartbreak.

Kazuyuki (40), a telecom sales professional from Osaka, is the eldest in the group and brings mature, older-brother energy after ending a 15-year relationship.

Season 2 Release Schedule

The first six episodes of The Boyfriend Season 2 will premiere on Netflix on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. After that, new episodes will be released every Tuesday until the finale.

Episodes 1 to 6 will arrive on January 13, 2026.

Episodes 7 to 9 will drop on January 20, 2026.

Episodes 10 to 12 will be released on January 27, 2026.

Episodes 13 to 15, which include the finale, will be available on February 3, 2026.

What Time Does It Release on Netflix?

Netflix usually releases new content at 12:00 AM Pacific Time. That means fans around the world can watch at the following times:

In the United States, it will be available at 12:00 AM PT or 3:00 AM ET.

In the United Kingdom, episodes will drop at 8:00 AM GMT.

In India, the release time is 1:30 PM IST.

In Japan, viewers can start watching at 5:00 PM JST.
