Netflix is officially bringing Emily Cooper back this winter, and this time, her adventure stretches far beyond Paris. Emily in Paris Season 5 is set to premiere on December 18, and fans will watch Emily split her life between Paris, Rome, and even Venice.
The newly released teaser hints at a season filled with Italian glamour, emotional crossroads, and major romantic tension. Creator Darren Star describes Season 5 as “a tale of two cities,” with Emily navigating love and ambition across two countries. From sun-soaked Roman streets to breezy Venetian canals, the visual upgrade is already turning heads.

Emily’s move to Rome is not sudden. Season 4 ended with her opening a Rome office for Agence Grateau after falling for Italian fashion heir Marcello. While the title of the series remains unchanged, Star confirms that Emily will now exist in both Paris and Rome, giving the story a much broader canvas.

The full cast is back in action. Lily Collins returns as Emily, along with Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie), Ashley Park (Mindy), Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Lucien Laviscount (Alfie), and fan favorites from earlier seasons. Eugenio Franceschini reprises his role as Marcello, whose connection with Emily will take center stage.
New faces will shake things up as well. Bryan Greenberg joins as an American named Jake, while Minnie Driver steps in as Princess Jane — a glamorous royal figure tied to Sylvie’s world. Their arrival is expected to add both chaos and charm to the story.

Romance remains the emotional heartbeat of the series. While Emily grows closer to Marcello, Gabriel finally realizes he wants her back after letting her go in Season 4. But regret comes late. As Collins hints, Gabriel must now face the consequences of his choices — and winning Emily’s heart again won’t be easy.

The show’s popularity shows no signs of slowing. Season 4 debuted at No. 1 on Netflix worldwide, pulling nearly 20 million views in its opening days and ranking in the Top 10 across 93 countries. Netflix is clearly betting big on the next chapter.
With new cities, fresh characters, and unresolved emotions, Emily in Paris Season 5 promises a stylish mix of romance, heartbreak and career drama when it lands on Netflix this December 18.
