Apple TV has released the first trailer for Season 2 of “Hijack,” the thriller series led by Idris Elba. The eight-episode season begins on Jan. 14, 2026, with weekly episodes through March 4.
Elba returns as Sam Nelson, a business negotiator who attempted to resolve a plane hijacking in the first season. The new season shifts to the Berlin Underground, where a train car is seized. Nelson is shown working to protect passengers while law enforcement teams operate above ground. Their efforts may not fully align with the situation he faces inside the train.

Elba received an Emmy nomination for his role in the first season, which became one of Apple TV’s most-watched dramas. The new season is executive produced by Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta and Tom Nash of 60Forty Films, along with George Kay and Jim Field Smith of Idiotlamp Productions. Kay and Field Smith created the series, and Field Smith again serves as lead director.
