The game isn’t over just yet! The first look at “Jumanji 3” has officially dropped, and the internet is losing it. The photo shows Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, and Jack Black back together in full costume—standing side-by-side like the iconic chaos squad they are. Karen Gillan even captioned her Instagram post with, “Sht just got real #jumanji #we’reback,”* and honestly… same.

But that wasn’t all. Dwayne Johnson also shared a behind-the-scenes video while driving to set in Los Angeles, confirming that production is officially in full swing. For the first time ever, an entire modern Jumanji movie is being filmed completely in LA—no Hawaii, no Atlanta, just pure Hollywood jungle energy.
Johnson also revealed two big things:
1. The cast recently reunited for their table read
2. This is the final chapter in the Jumanji franchise
He even teased that the movie will include a tribute to Robin Williams and the 1995 original film. Cue emotions.

All four characters stand together on a downtown street, fully geared up and ready for whatever wild, glitchy disaster Jumanji throws at them this time. Gillan joked online that the group is “so back,” and fans immediately flooded social media celebrating the squad’s return.
“Jumanji 3” hits theaters on December 11, 2026, with Jake Kasdan directing and writing alongside Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg.
This sequel follows Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) and Jumanji: The Next Level (2019)—two movies that together earned almost $2 billion worldwide. Not too shabby for a cursed board game.
Johnson previously described the upcoming film as a “massive, fun, heartfelt adventure” designed to close the franchise “on a high note.” So yes—prepare your snacks, your nostalgia, and your emotional support console, because the Jumanji journey is finally coming to an end.
And fans? They’re absolutely ready to press PLAY one last time.
