Money Heist is officially returning to Netflix with a major expansion of its story universe. The announcement was confirmed through a new teaser revealed during the world premiere of Berlin Season 2 in Seville.

The news was shared by Álvaro Morte, who played the iconic Professor in the original series.
Netflix’s official statement strongly suggests that the platform is planning more than just another season. Instead, the streaming giant appears to be building a larger “Money Heist” universe with multiple spin-offs and new stories connected to the original show.
According to the teaser statement, the franchise “never stopped growing, evolving, and surprising fans.” Netflix also added that “the revolution NEVER ends,” hinting that more missions and characters could soon enter the spotlight.
The teaser has already sparked major discussion among fans online, with many wondering whether the next project will be a full Money Heist Season 6, character-based spin-offs, or both.

One moment from the 50-second teaser especially caught fans’ attention. In the final scene, hands are seen uncovering a gold bar, leading many viewers to believe the story could continue after the Bank of Spain robbery from the original series.
According to El País, Vancouver Media, the production company founded by series creator Álex Pina, is already working on a four-episode mini-series focused on Colonel Tamayo.
The character was played by Fernando Cayo in the original show.
The announcement came during the Seville premiere event for Berlin Season 2, which is set to release on Netflix on May 15.
