Elaine Hendrix Misses DWTS Halloween Night After Injury

Elaine Hendrix

Elaine Hendrix, best known for her roles in The Parent Trap and Dynasty, has been hospitalized after suffering a rib injury while competing on Dancing With the Stars. The 54-year-old actress and her professional partner Alan Bersten were forced to skip the show’s much-anticipated “Halloween Night” episode on Tuesday.

Hendrix shared an emotional update on Instagram, posting a video of herself from a hospital bed. She revealed that the injury occurred during their performance of “Defying Gravity” last week and had worsened over time.

“I injured my ribs last week, and today they just seized up. I couldn’t move,” she explained tearfully.

The actress said doctors advised her to rest for a day or two before returning to the competition. Despite the pain, Hendrix expressed her determination to continue dancing, asking fans for their support.

“I want to dance,” she said. “I want to keep doing this.”

In her Instagram caption, she wrote that she was “devastated” to miss the Halloween episode, adding:

“I was beyond excited to share what we had worked so hard on. With your support, I’ll be back in the ballroom next week. I want nothing more.”

During the live DWTS broadcast, host Alfonso Ribeiro confirmed her absence and provided fans with an update:

“She suffered an injury in rehearsal this morning. Right now, she’s at the hospital being assessed. Elaine, I love you. I’m so proud of you and I’ll see you soon.”

Although Elaine couldn’t perform live, the judges — including guest judge Cheryl Burke — reviewed her rehearsal performance, awarding her and Alan a score of 32 out of 40.
