Love Island USA’s Nic Vansteenberghe Eyes Dancing With the Stars

Season 7 runner-up says he hopes to compete on the ballroom show

Nic Vansteenberghe from Love Island USA is setting his sights on another reality television competition. The 24-year-old told Glamour that he hopes to appear on Dancing With the Stars next season.

Vansteenberghe was the runner-up on Season 7 of the Peacock series, alongside Olandria Carthen. He said he is “manifesting” a spot on the ballroom competition and plans to begin training soon.

“I just want to dance,” he said, adding that he believes he would stand out if selected. He also suggested that his improvement over the season would be noticeable.

Beyond Dancing With the Stars, Vansteenberghe said he is open to taking part in other reality shows. However, he ruled out returning to dating formats, saying he would prefer something different next.

If he joins Season 35 of Dancing With the Stars, Vansteenberghe would be the first contestant from Love Island to compete on the show.

He also spoke about adjusting to public attention since Love Island USA ended in July. Vansteenberghe said being recognized in public has become normal for him, though he noted it can feel awkward at times, especially when he is with family or on a date.

For now, Vansteenberghe said he is taking the attention in stride as he looks ahead to potential new opportunities in reality television.
