Just days after turning 30, the actor attended the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala on January 3, where he accepted the event’s Spotlight Award for his latest film, Marty Supreme. Sitting in the audience was his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, who showed her support throughout the night.

Jenner, 28, turned heads in a bold plunging orange gown as she watched Chalamet take the stage. Later, when she shared photos of her look on Instagram, Chalamet quietly returned the love in the comments, posting a series of orange heart emojis.

Chalamet praises director Josh Safdie

During his acceptance speech, Chalamet made it clear the moment wasn’t just about him. He took time to praise Marty Supreme director Josh Safdie, calling him “a genius” and “a true artist.”

“This man is the embodiment of what we’re all here celebrating,” Chalamet said, gesturing toward Safdie. He added that Safdie’s creative mind is “unbelievable” and described him as the kind of artist he hopes to become — passionate, curious, and deeply committed to his work.

It wasn’t the first time Chalamet spoke openly about his ambition. He’s been vocal about his pursuit of artistic growth in past awards speeches, including when he accepted the Chairman’s Award at the same festival in 2025.

About Marty Supreme

Chalamet not only stars in Marty Supreme but also serves as a producer on the project. The A24 film follows Marty Mauser, a driven table tennis player inspired by a real-life Jewish-American pioneer of the sport.

The cast includes Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A'zion, Kevin O'Leary, Tyler the Creator, Abel Ferrara, and Fran Drescher.

Festival Chairman Nachhattar Singh Chandi praised Chalamet’s performance in a statement released last month, calling it a career milestone and one of the standout performances of the year.
