The finale of The Golden Bachelor Season 2 has finally arrived, and all eyes are on Mel Owens as he prepares to choose his partner. But as fans wait for his final decision, a different question is making the rounds — is Mel’s ex-wife, Fabiana Pimentel, watching him date on television?

Since the show premiered on September 24, 2025, Mel has become one of the most talked-about bachelors on TV. Viewers have followed every date, every emotional moment, and every unexpected twist. Naturally, people want to know whether Fabiana is watching the man she once shared a life with begin a new chapter.

Mel says Fabiana probably isn’t tuning in

In a chat with Us Weekly, Mel opened up about whether his ex-wife is keeping up with the show. According to him, their two sons told him that Fabiana has no intention of watching any episodes. Still, Mel joked that since the whole world seems to be “peeking,” she might also sneak a look out of curiosity.

He said:
“I don’t know, but my boys told me, ‘Oh, she’s not gonna be watching.’ But everybody’s peeking. I’d be watching if it was her! Everybody’s peeking.”

It was a light, teasing comment — the kind you make when you know a situation is slightly awkward but still funny.

Fabiana doesn’t want to be involved

When The Daily Mail reached out to Fabiana for her thoughts, she kept it short and straightforward. She admitted she didn’t want any part in the show and believed things might get messy. Even so, she wished Mel well.

Her response:
“Good luck. I mean, it’s going to be bad. But anyway, I don’t want to be involved in this.”

It’s clear she prefers to stay out of the reality-TV spotlight.

Their past and how they moved on

Mel and Fabiana married in 2002 and share two sons. Fabiana, a Brazilian businesswoman, filed for divorce in 2020 due to irreconcilable differences, and the process officially wrapped up in 2024. Only a few months later, ABC confirmed Mel as the next Golden Bachelor.

Mel has previously said that the marriage ended because Fabiana fell in love with someone else. He admitted the situation hurt but didn’t want to stand in the way of her happiness.

As he put it:
“Life is short, and if you’re in love with somebody else, that’s fine.”
