HBO’s hit series The Last of Us is returning for Season 3, but fans may have to wait until late 2026 or early 2027 to see new episodes. While HBO hasn’t announced an exact premiere date, the two-year release pattern suggests a similar timeline.
Season 3 will likely follow the events of the video game The Last of Us Part II, shifting focus to Abby’s story. The new season is expected to cover the same three-day period in Seattle seen in Season 2, but from Abby’s perspective.
The season will also dive deeper into the conflict between the Washington Liberation Front (WLF) and the Seraphites.
